Sendot introduces the phosynthesis-efficiency sensor

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Sendot's new and innovative sensor provides insight into the plant's current photosynthesis efficiency. The measured result indicates how the plant handles its growth factors such as temperature, irradiation, CO2, oxygen in the mat and VPD and is thus a valuable parameter to monitor during cultivation.

The added value

The current range of products that measure photosynthesis efficiency are mostly research instruments and often difficult to fit into a cultivation control system. A handy and mobile instrument, which can possibly be easily connected to a climate computer, with a good price/quality ratio is therefore an added value for monitoring plant growth. Sendot's photosynthesis efficiency sensor gives results comparable to reference measuring instruments.

Performing measurements

The mobile hand-held sensor works simply. You attach a clip to the leaf, after which you can start a measurement via the sensor display. Besides this ad hoc measurement, the sensor can log in the field so that photosynthesis can be monitored over weeks, possibly in combination with light intensity (optional).

By monitoring photosynthesis efficiency, better choices can be made to optimise plant growth. With Sendot's measuring instrument, there is a handy and durable sensor on the market that allows this to be done continuously.
